If breastfeeding is not possible
Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for at least the first six months of a baby's life.
- If breastfeeding is not possible, research shows that feeding a clinically proven hydrolysed formula can reduce the risk of allergies such as eczema in susceptible children, such as SMA H.A®2
- Two types of formula have been shown to have an effect on the prevalence of atopic eczema in at-risk infants11 – partially hydrolysed whey formula and extensively hydrolysed casein formula
