The MHRA has issued a recall notice for 15 batches of own brand blackcurrant cough syrup manufactured by Bell, Sons & Co as a precautionary measure due to a small number of reports of mould.
The products affected are:
- Asda Children’s Dry Cough Syrup Glycerol Blackcurrant Flavour (batch nos 274V1, 276V1, 278V1, 283V1)
- Bell’s Healthcare Children’s Dry Cough Glycerin 0.75g/5ml Syrup (batch no 280V3)
- Morrisons Children’s Dry Tickly Cough Glycerin 0.75g/5ml Oral Solution (batch no 282W1)
- Numark Children’s Dry Cough 0.75 g/5 ml Oral Solution (batch nos 280V1, 288W1)
- Sainsbury’s Children’s Dry Cough 0.75g/5ml Syrup (batch no 275V1)
- Superdrug Children’s Dry Tickly Cough Glycerin 0.75 g/5 ml Oral Solution (batch nos 280V2, 284W1)
- Tesco Children’s Dry Cough Syrup (batch nos 277V1, 278V2, 281W1)
- Wilko Tickly Cough 0.75g/5ml Oral Solution (batch no 275V2).
