New research commissioned by Pharmacy Voice into pharmacists' experiences of the EPS found one in five rated the system as €poor€ or €very poor.€ The Spine 2 upgrade caused widespread disruption, the research found, with no noticeable speed improvement. Split prescriptions also remain an issue for over half of the respondents. There have been €significant teething problems€ with the service and we need more action from those responsible to rectify these, says John Palmer, IT lead at Pharmacy Voice. €At the moment, the increase in EPS prescriptions that HSCIC would like to see will simply mean more problems for pharmacy teams,€ he warns.
