PSNC is calling on the Government to expand the support available to people with asthma via the MUR service. The call follows a report by the Royal College of Physicians showing that people with asthma are dying because they are not being adequately supported to manage their condition effectively.

€A study on the Isle of Wight showed that MURs designed to help asthma patients use inhalers correctly reduced hospital admissions related to the condition by more than 50 per cent over a three- month period,€ says Alastair Buxton, head of NHS Services.
