An eight-person strong team from LloydsPharmacy will be taking part in the tough London to Paris Bike Ride from 9 to 13 September to raise money for Alzheimer's Society.
The cyclists will race approximately 300 miles over four days on the epic test of endurance that will take them from Crystal Palace, London, through the British countryside and the battlefields of Somme and Agincourt, before finally arriving at the Eiffel Tower. During the challenge, they will cover approximately 95 miles of terrain on day one, 75 miles on day two, 70 miles on day three, and 60 miles on the final day.
Rupert Newman, LloydsPharmacy retail operations director and team leader, said: €At LloydsPharmacy we are truly dedicated to doing everything we can to support Alzheimer's Society and this resonates with all colleagues across the business.
€We've been training hard and though we won't be winning any Olympic medals, we are excited to be taking part in the challenge, raising money and awareness for the charity.€
LloydsPharmacy announced its new national charity partnership with Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer Scotland earlier this year as an extension to its ongoing commitment to the Dementia Friends initiative.
