PCUS offers pharmacists a free day of urology updates

The Primary Care Urology Society (PCUS) is holding its Annual Conference 2026 at Goodenough College in London on Tuesday 10 November, with free places for UK healthcare professionals, including pharmacists.

The one-day event covers four common primary care topics. Dr Helena Burden, a consultant urological surgeon, will speak on haematuria, taking in new guidance on non-visible haematuria. Dr Sam Merriel, of the University of Manchester, will look at PSA testing and the UK National Screening Committee’s decision on prostate cancer screening. Dr Leigh Sanyaolu, of Cardiff University, will cover recurrent UTI. The day closes with a session on lower urinary tract symptoms from the chair, Dr Jon Rees, a GP partner and GP with a special interest in urology.

PCUS says the programme is relevant to pharmacists dealing with blood in the urine in patients on anticoagulants, questions about PSA tests, repeat UTIs and over-the-counter options for urinary symptoms. The day also offers a chance to network with the GPs, nurses and urologists.

The conference runs from 09:45 to 16:10, with registration from 09:15. To book, visit primarycareurologysociety.org, where a free PCUS account is needed, or email admin@pcus.co.uk.
