Cow & Gate tackles vitamin D intake

Nutricia has launched a new formulation to help toddlers meet their daily recommended nutrient intake (RNI) of vitamin D. The Department of Health recommends that all children aged six months to five years should receive a daily supplement containing at least 7mcg of vitamin D in order to meet their daily requirement, but the latest National Diet and Nutrition Survey shows that the average toddler is only getting 27 per cent of his/her dietary needs. Nutricia says two beakers of Cow & Gate Growing Up Milk will provide at least 100 per cent of a toddler's daily dietary vitamin D requirement.
