Wright review group to hold focus groups to form proposals

In Latest

The Wright review steering group will hold a series of online focus groups and workshops this month and in August in a bid to come up with proposals on the future of representation and support which could be put to contractors by the autumn.

The RSG said events will be held for contractors or contractor representatives on July 30 (1pm-2pm), August 2 (1pm-2pm) and August 3 (9.30am-11am and 7.30pm-9pm).

Online events will also be held for LPC and PSNC members on July 30 (9.30am-11am and 11am-12.30pm), August 2 (9.30am-11am, 11am-12.30pm) and August 4 (11am-12.30pm and 7.30pm-9pm).

"Draft materials on options for future models of national and local representative and support organisations will be shared in advance of the focus group meetings," the RSG said.

Last month the Group said it was aiming to put proposals on the restructuring of the PSNC and LPCs to contractors by this autumn, with a vote taking place by the end of this year or in early 2022.

The RSG said "time will be given for further reflection and feedback” after the online events, with contractors and LPC representatives “invited to consult further in September ahead of engagement with the entire sector".

The RSG also said feedback from the online events "will be used to develop an updated set of options which will be the subject of further consultation in September".
