A project involving community pharmacists in Barking and Dagenham has won a Healthcare Pioneers Award from the Atrial Fibrillation Association.

‘Improving physical health care for patients with psychosis (PHCP) through collaborative working with local community pharmacies’ saw participating community pharmacists provide health and medicines checks for patients discharged from North-East London NHS Foundation Trust hospitals with ongoing treatment for psychosis.

This innovative piece of work will hopefully turn into a commissioned service, says liaison pharmacist, Esther Peinado.
