Care about your pharmacy teams

Thornton & Ross has launched a new wellbeing training module and is backing a Newcastle University research project into the pressures faced by pharmacists while continuing to support the launch of its free in-store digital TV platform.

The new Care training module, Wellbeing at Work, includes information about managing challenges in the workplace as well as advice on being more mindful. T&R hopes the new training module “will better support the pharmacy community so it can continue playing a vital role in frontline healthcare”. The training can be downloaded from carehcp.co.uk/training.

Meanwhile, the Care brand is backing a Newcastle University research project into the pressures faced by community pharmacists, including the impact of Covid-19. Third year student Maisie Baker is the recipient of the Newcastle School of Pharmacy Care Award 2020, which is supported by a £1,000 grant from Care. “My project is about exploring the specific pressures that community pharmacists face and identifying if there are any trends in these pressures,” she says.

“I then want to investigate ways to alleviate the pressures on community pharmacists so that they can continue to provide the best possible patient care.” Maisie currently works part-time in a community pharmacy.

The activity follows the launch of a free in-store TV platform to help increase sales and customer engagement. T&R says pharmacies can simply and easily set up the service on a smart TV or any other device with web browsing capabilities – positioned either within the store or in the pharmacy window – and download the visuals for free through Care’s recently launched healthcare professional website (carehcp.co.uk).
