The Medicines Optimisation Dashboard operated by the NHS BSA has had a refresh of data, with several comparators now showing data up to March 2018.

Medicines Optimisation is about improving patient outcomes, quality and value from medicines use.

The dashboard now includes a set of prescribing indicators which have been developed as part of a programme of work to reduce medication error and promote safer user of medicines, including prescribing, dispensing, administration and monitoring.

The data is intended to inform the strategic medicines optimisation plans of CCGs and Trusts, however, it may be useful to contractors who want to compare how their pharmacy(ies) are performing compared to CCG and national averages.
