Conversations about depression

This module focuses on supporting patients in the early stages of antidepressant therapy.

Since the first lockdown was introduced in March 2020 the number of adults exhibiting moderate to severe symptoms of depression has doubled. Talking to people with depression is therefore likely to become a more frequent occurrence for community pharmacists.

This module focuses on the conversations pharmacists are likely to have with people with depression and includes help to both identify those suffering from the condition and support patients in the early stages of antidepressant therapy. It also includes signposting to a range of useful resources.
