On completion of this module you will be able to:

  • Understand some of the common causes of joint pain.
  • Recognise the key symptoms of osteoarthritis and when to refer for diagnosis.
  • Advise on the management of joint pain.
  • Confidently recommend the use of topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) for joint pain relief.
