WBA head of healthcare innovation retires

Walgreens Boots Alliance’s head of healthcare innovation, Sarv Khunkhuna, has decided to retire after 39 years with the company.

Mr Khunkhuna first joined Boots in 1983 as a pharmacy student before qualifying in 1986. He held a number of pharmacy roles before progressing to regional management and then the company’s support office in 2001, where he helped launch concept stores and a number of new services.

During the 2000s he became head of trading operations and then worked in global brands before moving to the WBA healthcare services team. In the latter role he has helped create services including mole scanning, UTI test and treat and a range of at-home health checks.

WBA healthcare services senior vice president Giovanni Monti said: “I would like to thank Sarv for his many contributions and for his passion, commitment, impressive knowledge of the business and long and loyal service to the company.”
