Streamed live from the UK and South Africa, review here the presentations and the panel discussions from the multidisciplinary day at Sigma’s 2024 Conference on the theme of integrated care.

Session One

Multiprofessional perspectives from Dr John Milne (president, British Dental Association, start 0:00 beginning missing), Dr Graham Stretch (president, Primary Care Pharmacists Association, 5:15), Nicola Stockmann (president-elect, Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK, 22:15) and Carole Phillips (national professional adviser for nursing and AHPs, Care Quality Commission, 38:10). Professor Dr Margaret Ikpoh (vice-chair, Royal College of General Practitioners) was the first speaker in this session, but was not recorded. She does, however, appear on the panel session (from 50:40).

Session Two

NHS chief officers: Presentations and a panel discussion on their national priorities, and opportunities for working across the professions. This session started with the four UK chief pharmaceutical officers: David Webb (England, 00:40), Alison Strath (Scotland, 16:55), Andrew Evans (Wales, 27:55) and Cathy Harrison (Northern Ireland 40:25). This is then followed by presentations from Jason Wong, interim chief dental officer, NHS England (52:25) and Helen Whyley, director of the Royal College of Nursing, Wales (1:04:35). All six speakers took part in the panel discussion (from 1:16:25).

Session Three

Professional leadership: Following a presentation on the broader application of leadership from Nigel Clarke (co-chair, UK Pharmacy Commission and former chair, General Pharmaceutical Council), Graham Stretch, Nicola Stockmann, David Webb and Cathy Harrison joined a panel session on professional leadership in pharmacy (13:00).
