Pharmacist Support has updated its website to make navigation simpler, and presentation more person-centred.
Previously, information and guidance sat separately from many of the charity’s services. The new approach brings these together, creating a clearer journey for people looking for support. Rather than needing to identify a particular service, people can start with the challenge they are facing, a question they need answering or simply a sense that something isn’t quite right, explains the charity.
The 'Supporting You' section of the website, has four key areas:
- Mental health and wellbeing – protecting and supporting mental and physical health
- Financial health – building confidence as well as providing advice and help
- Workplace wellbeing – empowering individuals and organisations to build healthier working environments
- Studying and training – helping individuals thrive throughout their studies, training and early career.
Visitors can explore relevant information and guidance alongside the charity’s wider support, including counselling, Listening Friends peer support, addiction support, financial assistance, workshops, campaigns, online learning and A Dose of Wellbeing podcast.
The new structure aims to create a clearer journey through Pharmacist Support’s offer – from information and self-help resources that can be accessed online at any time, through to personalised and specialist support when it is needed, says the organisation.
Danielle Hunt, chief executive of Pharmacist Support, said: “One of the commitments within our five-year strategy is to ensure that Pharmacist Support continues to evolve alongside the changing needs of our pharmacy family. That means not only developing the support we provide, but making sure people can find and access it as easily as possible.
“We know that life’s challenges aren’t always clear-cut and people don’t necessarily arrive at our website knowing what type of support or service they might need. This redevelopment work has been person-centred, focusing on what issues they might be facing and then connecting them with the information, resources and support available.
“Digital development is an important part of our strategy, and our website is one of our most valuable resources. It provides round the clock access to information and support. These changes are an important first step in making it easy for our service users and supporters to connect with us, as well as creating a stronger foundation from which we can continue to develop our digital offer.”
