PAGB partners with NHS on new winter campaign

The Proprietary Association of Great Britain (PAGB) is backing NHS England and Public Health England's new  winter campaign, 'Stay Well This Winter', instead of running the 'Treat Yourself Better' programme.

The NHS campaign will communicate a range of messages around staying healthy over the winter months and using NHS services appropriately. These include encouraging people to visit pharmacy for winter ailments and promoting the flu jab.

John Smith, PAGB chief executive, comments: €PAGB is delighted to be a partner in the NHS campaign, which will deliver a clear message to people about self-care and managing winter ailments. PAGB member companies are being encouraged to get behind the campaign and increase its reach by using the 'Supporting Stay Well This Winter' logo in advertising and marketing materials for relevant products.

€PAGB has been calling on the Government to implement national public education campaigns on self-care to ensure one message is consistently delivered at the national and local level, as we believe this is more effective than numerous different campaigns trying to communicate the same message in different ways."

PAGB has also produced a leaflet to support the campaign, 'When will I feel better?', which explains how long people can expect cough and cold symptoms to last, what they can do to get better and the warning signs which mean they may need to seek professional advice.
