Northern Ireland is to see the opening of a Medicines Optimisation Innovation Centre, the country's chief pharmacist Mark Timoney told September's RPS conference.
The opening of the MO hub, which follows a three-month consultation process on a quality framework document that ended in August, aims to support better health and wellbeing through improvements in the appropriate, safe and effective use of medicines. It is part of the €Making it better through pharmacy in the community€ strategy that was launched last year in the province, said Dr Timoney.
