Representatives from the pharmacy world have been honoured in the 2014 New Year Honours list:
Dr Keith Ridge, NHS England's chief pharmaceutical officer (pictured), receives a CBE for services to the pharmacy profession and to patients
Ash Soni, member of the Pharmacy and Public Health Forum, clinical network lead for NHS Lambeth and vice-chair of the RPS English Pharmacy Board, receives an OBE for services to community pharmacy and the NHS
Sue Sharpe, chief executive of the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee, also receives an OBE for services to the pharmaceutical industry
Professor Richard Parish, chair of the Pharmacy and Public Health Forum, and until recently chief executive of the Royal Society for Public Health, receives a CBE for services to public health
Chair of the All-Party Pharmacy Group, The Rt Hon Kevin Barron, MP, receives a knighthood for political and public service.
