Lloyds Pharmacy targets independent living

Lloyds Pharmacy has opened its first dedicated independent living store in New Wortley, Leeds. Sited alongside an existing Lloyds Pharmacy branch, the new store showcases the Betterlife range in a series of different rooms, such as a bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen, while there is a multi-surface track to test mobility scooters and a car boot to check the ease of loading products into vehicles.

€For many people, admitting that they need some help with their mobility can be an overwhelming chapter in their lives, so our plans have always focused on how we can make the experience not only easy but also relaxing, enjoyable and informative,€ says Grant Abrahams, head of Betterlife.

€That's why we've placed such focus on ensuring that our products can be tested out with the help of our experts, in a range of different environments such as on our multi-surface track, our kitchen and lounge area and the car boot loading bay for the ultimate 'try before you buy' experience.€ The Leeds site was chosen due to its easy access via the motorway and because Lloyds Pharmacy already has 25 branches in the city.
