PSNC chief executive Sue Sharpe has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science by the University of Sunderland. The award was made on July 8 in recognition of Sue's contribution to the development of community pharmacy services and to patient welfare.

Speaking at the event Ms Sharpe told the audience: "You are graduating at a time that is the most professionally exciting for at least the last 65 years. The NHS is now fully committed to using the skills the pharmacist has, recognising their expertise is needed, and that will provide new and unprecedented opportunities for rewarding careers.€
