NHS England's chief pharmacist Dr Keith Ridge warned pharmacists not to use the Call to Action consultation as a €wish list... to set out their niggles and frustrations€ as the March 18 deadline for responses approached.
Speaking via video-link at the Sigma conference and Community Pharmacy Future event, he said the initiative was a one-off chance for community pharmacy to think how primary care services could be re-organised to better meet patient needs. He hoped pharmacists were thinking innovatively and radically in their submissions, including on such controversial matters as whether pharmacy numbers should be cut.
