Boots UK has launched a private HPV vaccination service to complement the NHS cervical cancer vaccination programme for 12 to 13-year-old girls. The service is available in 68 stores for both males and females aged 12-44 years old.
The cost is £300 for a course of two vaccinations for 12-14 year olds and £450 for the three vaccines required by those over 15 years of age. The vaccines are said to protect against nine HPV types, including those responsible for 90 per cent of HPV related anal and cervical cancers, and genital warts.
