Alphega Pharmacy UK has reported that its members earned on average 4.3 more Quality Payments points at the first review point than other pharmacies – with those on its highest membership scheme ahead of non-member independent pharmacies by 8.4 points.
This equates to the average Alphega member receiving £275.20 more through the scheme than the average non-member, and those on the highest membership level earning an additional £537.60. Pharmacies can earn up to £6,400 through the scheme.
The membership network says its efforts to engage pharmacies, such as a QPS Action Plan and ‘roadshow’, were aimed at guiding members through the necessary steps in a clear and concise manner.
Nahader Mann, regional director of Alphega Pharmacy Europe said: “It’s fantastic to see Alphega Pharmacy members perform so well through the QPS process.
“Now that it has been announced that the QPS will continue in the coming months, we will once again provide support to our members and help them to attain as many points as they can.”
