Well Pharmacy seals Mind donations deal

Well Pharmacy has struck up a partnership with a charity to make it easier for customers to make a donation when making a purchase in one of its branches.

The chain has joined up with Pennies, a micro-donations charity who work with retailers and payments providers to support other charities. Well’s agreement is designed to encourage its customers to make a 9p donation to the charity Mind on top of their purchase when paying by card or digital wallet.

Well said the funds will be processed by Trust Payments “in conjunction with Pennies” to help Mind run services such as the Mind Infoline, legal line and online community Side by Side.

Well, who revealed more than 50,000 donations have been made so far, also said Pennies and Trust Retail, part of the Trust Payments Group, will match the total donations by customers on Random Acts of Kindness Day on Friday.

“We are delighted to be able to offer this new way of donating, which is a simple approach and can make all the difference to such a vital charity,” said Well CEO Seb Hobbs.

“With one in four of us experiencing a mental health problem every year, we know how important it is to keep raising money for Mind. We are very proud of our charity partnership and working with Pennies will play an important part in that partnership.”
