CPPE is launching a learning campaign to encourage and support pharmacy professionals to tackle antibacterial resistance
THE 'USE ANTIBACTERIALS WISELY' campaign provides six challenges to be completed in the lead-up to European Antibiotic Awareness Day (EAAD) on November 18.
To coincide with the campaign, CPPE has developed a new distance-learning programme called 'Antibacterial resistance €“ a global threat to public health: the role of the pharmacy team'.
The aim of the learning programme is to help update knowledge regarding antimicrobial resistance and healthcare-associated infections so that pharmacy teams can contribute to reducing their impact.
The distance learning programme and learning campaign leaflet are being delivered to over 60,000 people. If you've not received your copy yet, look out for it.
Competition CPPE is also inviting pharmacies to take part in a window or practice display competition to raise awareness of antibacterial resistance during the week of EAAD. Once you have created your display, put your photos on Twitter, using the hashtag #CPPEAntibac or post them on the CPPE Facebook page.
For more resources to help you plan your display, have a go at the 'Running a health promotion campaign' hotspot on the Antibacterials floor of theLearningpharmacy.com.
