Proposed Nov concession prices sent to PSNC

On Friday (December 8), following pressure from PSNC to the Department of Health, the negotiating body received a list of proposed concession prices for 52 of the 67 outstanding requests for November concessions.

PSNC will consider the proposals and respond to the DH today (Monday December 11) so they can be considered alongside November’s payments. PSNC is also in dialogue about concession prices for December.

Further details will be posted on PSNC's website as soon as they are available and also sent out via email news alerts.

PSNC says it is continuing to work to ensure that the DH understands the problems and risks if pharmacies are not able to obtain medicines for patients in a timely manner, and to press for better systems to address the impact of high price rises.

The shortages and price rises have attracted considerable attention this week in the national media with The Times in particular focusing on the issue on several occasions.
