Long Covid is a new condition and our understanding of it is evolving. You may be asked by patients about managing continuing symptoms after acute Covid-19 infection.
This module will provide information about how the medium and long-term effects of Covid-19 are thought to manifest in different body systems. It will detail the most common new or ongoing symptoms after acute infection, when to refer for further assessment and how to help patients self-manage symptoms.
It will also identify sources of information and advice, including support groups, social prescribing, online forums and apps.
