Acute sinusitis: treatment and management

Sinusitis is one of the most common diagnoses in primary care1 and can significantly reduce your customers’ quality of life2
Although the Pharmacy First service has allowed more accessible treatment for those who are eligible, most cases (98%) will be caused by a viral infection and antibiotic treatment via the service will likely be unsuitable.3
It is important to support your customer regardless of whether or not they are eligible for treatment via Pharmacy First, which you can do by offering advice and product recommendations within the pharmacy.
