- Be able to confidently give product recommendations and self-care advice to your customers.
Acne is one of the most common skin conditions in the UK and is most prevalent in younger people; APPROXIMATELY 85% OF SUFFERERS ARE AGED BETWEEN 12 AND 24. Acne is more common in males during adolescence but in adulthood, the incidence is higher in females.1 It is important to manage acne appropriately; undertreatment may increase the risk of scarring, as it is linked to the severity and duration of acne.2
As well as affecting appearance, acne can also have an impact on emotional health and wellbeing. Studies have shown that people with acne may also experience anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, poor self-image, a decreased quality of life and may feel alone.3
