Mead Johnson Nutrition has renamed Nutramigen LIPIL 1 & 2 as Nutramigen 1 with LGG and Nutramigen 2 with LGG. Nutramigen with LGG is described as “an extensively hydrolysed formula to effectively manage the symptoms of infants with cow’s milk allergy”.

The addition of LGG accelerates the acquisition of oral tolerance in infants with cow’s milk allergy, says the company, which stresses that the new preparation instructions on the tin need to be read carefully. Nutramigen with LGG is not recommended for premature and immune compromised infants unless directed and supervised by a healthcare professional.
