Trulicity (dulaglutide), a new glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) receptor agonist, i s injected once weekly as monotherapy in adults with type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate glycaemic control and metformin is inappropriate. Dulaglutide can also be used in combination with other glucose-lowering medicines, including insulin.
