GPhC increases registration fees

The GPhC is to increase registration fees for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises from October 15.

The annual renewal fee for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will rise by £10 to £250 and £118 respectively. Pharmacy premises will see a £20 increase to £241. The £15 fee for quarterly direct debits is to be removed. The move was necessary “to meet the growing costs of regulation caused by a number of factors, including a rising number of complaints. Even after the increase, [an individual’s] fees in 2016 will still be lower than in 2011,” says GPhC’s Duncan Rudkin.
