Boots partners with Deliveroo on home orders

Boots UK has teamed up with Deliveroo to offer home deliveries for non-prescription items from 14 stores.

The partnership announced by the two companies today will allow customers to order over 400 Boots products including medicines for minor ailments, beauty lines, toiletries and skin care, products for infants and food and drink.

The service is available to Deliveroo customers in areas including Birmingham, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Southampton and Central London. It comes amid strong growth in online orders for both companies since the pandemic, with boots.com orders rising by 85 per cent in the 12 months to March 1 2021.

Paula Bobbett, director of the boots.com website, said the service would be “handy for times when you need something urgently but can’t leave the house, like if you’re feeling unwell or are looking after your kids”.

“Our online business continues to grow and this partnership offers our customers a way to access our products quickly and easily.”

Deliveroo’s Carlo Mocci said the company was “delighted” to partner with Boots, adding that the move would “mean more choice and selection for our consumers, delivered in as little as 20 minutes, and will create more work for riders across the UK”.
